Bed and Breakfast: Down by the riverside

You are more than welcome to stay and have breakfast in our B&B in Koog aan de Zaan, Hoogstraat 48, 1541 KZ
A stone's throw away from the Zaanse Schans.
The combination of old, working windmills, industrial heritage and the river the Zaan is what makes this places so special.

The room is located at ground floor with a view of our colorful garden, the Zaan, and the windmill "De Ooievaar" (The Stork). There is a private entrance, your own bathroom with a large shower, toilet, sink, closet. Also comfortable beds with a TV, DVD-player and Free Wifi.
At breakfast we serve fresh breadrolls, home made jelly/marmelade, fresh fruit juice, Beemster cheese and an assortment of meats, and of course coffee and tea.

Within walking distance you'll find:
- The Zaanse Schans
- the Koogerpark and the Molenmuseum (Millmuseum)
- High quality restaurants and two bakers
- The windmills Het Pink and De Bleeke Dood
- The Modderpad/Mudpath (Nice hikingroute through nature in the Kalverpolder)
- Trainstation Koog-Zaandijk ( 20 minutes from Amsterdam Central Station)
- "the goldcoast of Zaandijk' and historical Haaldersbroek
- A pedestrian ferry that crosses the river the Zaan to the Zaanse Schans
- Beautiful cycling routes, with different kinds of scenery

We can accomodate bicycles and renting a boat for you, make reservations for lunch and/or dinner and inform you about the activities going on in Zaanstad and Amsterdam
Pets are not allowed, smoking is permitted outside.
A crib or childrensbed can be booked.
There is a place available to dock your own boat.
